Shared laser sessions need a clear handoff when one person leaves and another takes responsibility. Use a visible session card that names the current operator and shows whether the area is preparing, active, paused, or closed.

Reset before responsibility changes

Pause work and review the identified material, file revision, focus, positioning, shielding, ventilation, and surrounding area together. The incoming operator should confirm current guidance rather than rely on a verbal summary or settings left on screen.

Close the session explicitly

At the end, remove material and loose items, follow the current shutdown procedure, and mark the card closed. Record unresolved faults or unusual observations so the next person does not treat an incomplete session as ready.

This checklist is a coordination aid, not a substitute for product documentation, training, protective measures, local requirements, or attended operation. Stop when the material, equipment state, or responsibility is unclear.
