A missing accent can turn a carefully made personalized gift into the wrong order. Review the exact characters a customer supplied before approving artwork for an AntBelt G1 project.
Preserve the original spelling
Keep the customer's text alongside the proof rather than retyping it from memory. Check accents, apostrophes, spaces, and the order of family and given names. Ask for a visual approval when the selected typeface makes two characters hard to distinguish.
- Paste the supplied text into the working layout.
- Compare every character with the original request.
- Export a visual proof and inspect it for substituted or missing glyphs.
- Save the approved proof with the production file revision.
Review after conversion
If text is converted to outlines or moved between applications, inspect the resulting file again. Character correctness and engraving legibility are different decisions: an accurately spelled name may still need a larger or simpler composition.
Use an appropriate, permitted sample process to evaluate the final design before making customer promises. Record any change made for readability and obtain approval of the changed appearance. Keep only the customer information needed for the order, and avoid using identifiable order proofs as public sample photos without permission.
