A repeat project can become difficult when only a preview image remains and the editable artwork is missing. Ask how a proposed engraving workflow handles that situation before relying on it for repeat orders.
Use a concrete demonstration request
Ask the demonstrator to explain what files are needed to reopen a past design, identify its approved version and make a text correction. Distinguish editable artwork from an exported production file and a visual preview. Each may preserve different information; a screenshot alone does not prove the original layout can be edited faithfully.
Keep the question focused on your normal work. A seller changing names needs a different demonstration from a maker repeating a fixed illustration. Record what was actually shown and what still requires confirmation.
Compare the evidence you can keep
