A remake envelope keeps a problem order from disappearing into a busy market day. It can be physical or digital, but it should collect the customer wording, original artwork revision, blank reference, and reason for the remake in one place.
Use specific reason labels
Choose plain labels such as spelling changed, placement not approved, surface differed from sample, or file revision mismatch. Do not use the envelope to guess at a technical cause. Record what was observed and leave diagnosis for a controlled review.
Add the customer contact status and the person responsible for the next decision. If the order cannot be resolved safely or honestly during the event, record a follow-up rather than improvising a promise.
Close the loop after the event
Review every envelope before returning blanks and samples to normal stock. Save the final resolution and note whether a checklist needs to change. A small remake record can reveal recurring handoff issues without turning one incident into a broad performance claim.
