When an order includes several personalized pieces, a proof should make the relationship between words and objects obvious at a glance. A plain-language list can be more useful than a decorative mockup when a customer needs to approve names, dates, and item assignments.
Put the decision beside the item
List each item with its requested text, placement note, and the version being reviewed. Ask the customer to confirm the wording and item mapping before treating the proof as approved. Keep any later change attached to the same item record.
The proof is an agreement aid, not evidence that a material or finish will produce a particular result. Use a suitable sample and current guidance for production decisions.
