Build a Three-Step Comparison Strip for Dark Surfaces

Dark surfaces can hide small differences in ordinary room light. Build a simple three-position strip on one test blank: a control area, a first planned variation, and a second planned variation. Label the positions outside the main viewing area.

Review the strip under consistent lighting and from more than one angle. Record what is visibly different without claiming why until the setup and material have been investigated. A photograph can document appearance, but it does not by itself establish durability or suitability.
