A compact engraving workflow works best when the first mark is not treated as the first decision. A short placement check gives makers a way to review the blank, artwork position, reference edge, and photo record before committing to a visible sample.

AntBelt G1 is being presented as a desk-side galvo engraver for small creative jobs, so the useful habit is not complicated. It is a repeatable pause that keeps the maker from confusing setup drift with material behavior.

A simple two-minute check can include:

  1. Confirm the blank is the same one noted in the work log.
  2. Check the artwork orientation against the product photo.
  3. Photograph the setup before the mark.
  4. Keep the result photo next to the setup photo for review.

This does not prove every future result. It simply helps the next sample start with clearer evidence, especially when small blanks are easy to rotate or move by hand.
