Check an Inscription at Its Intended Reading Distance

An inscription can look clear when enlarged on a screen and become difficult to read in its intended setting. Before preparing a personalized AntBelt G1 project, review a paper representation at the size and viewing distance the recipient is likely to use.

Use the setting to guide the proof

Place the paper proof beside an unprocessed object. Look at it from the position of someone reading the gift, then compare it with the enlarged artwork. Check whether the name, date and decorative details compete for attention. This is a layout exercise, not a prediction of engraved contrast.

Ask another person to read the inscription without first telling them what it says. Record any uncertain character. A mistaken reading identifies something to revise; it does not establish a universal minimum text size.

Preserve the approved version

Keep the full inscription with the revised proof so that increasing the name size does not accidentally remove a date or dedication. Obtain approval for any wording change. Material suitability and the eventual result require separate checks with current guidance and an appropriate sample.
