Flat and curved blanks should not be judged with the same note. A flat card, a wood tag, and a cylindrical object each bring different placement and viewing questions.

For flat blanks, the main checks are usually position, contrast, and edge spacing. For curved blanks, the maker should also note the visible engraving area and how the design reads when the object is held or rotated.

That does not mean one workflow is automatically better. It means each test needs a separate record, especially before the final Kickstarter details are available.
