Make the pause part of the routine
Before moving a workpiece, stop the workflow and check the file name, the intended placement, and the surrounding work area. A short, written pause is easier to repeat than a last-second visual guess.
Operate only with appropriate protective eyewear, ventilation, shielding, and attended supervision. Follow the equipment instructions and local requirements; a checklist cannot replace them.
Record the reason for a restart
If the job needs to restart, write down why before changing the setup. That turns an interruption into a reviewable note. More careful workflow habits are in /updates/.
