Custom orders become confusing when approval is spread across several messages and mockups. A small shop can reduce ambiguity by naming one image as the current approval reference before preparing a sample.

Put the essentials in one frame

The approval image should show the selected spelling, artwork orientation, and the general placement requested by the buyer. Give it a version label and date. If the design changes, retire the earlier image and issue a new one rather than relying on message order.

Keep approval separate from production proof

A mockup confirms a design choice; it does not guarantee how a particular material or finish will respond. Use the shop's suitable test process, record the blank source, and compare the completed sample with the approved reference before accepting a larger order.

Operators should follow current instructions for setup, guarding, ventilation, protective equipment, and attended use. Avoid promising turnaround or durability until the shop has evidence for its actual workflow.
