An order can become confusing when a message, preview, and production file all appear to be the latest version. One visible approval state helps a small team know what may proceed.
Use a short state label
Choose a small set such as draft, customer review, approved for sample, and sample reviewed. Put the state beside the order number and revision, not only inside a message thread. When artwork changes, create a new revision and move the state back to review.
The label is a workflow control, not proof that a material or result is suitable. Operators should still confirm the blank, orientation, current setup guidance, and supervised test conditions. Photograph the reviewed sample with its order card before packing or repeating the work.
