File names show which version is newest, but they rarely explain why it changed. Add a short decision log beside each maker file: date, design change, reason, material identity, and what still needs checking.

Before a sample run, read the last entry and confirm that the artwork, orientation, and current operating guidance still match. Record observations without turning one sample into a general material claim.
