A magnifier, camera stand or measuring tool can be useful for reviewing a finished sample. Its usefulness afterward does not make it appropriate inside an active engraving setup.
Plan two work locations
Choose a separate inspection location for the finished object and its record. Keep loose tools, cables and reference sheets away from the operating area, following the equipment's required clearances and instructions. Do not add an improvised camera mount or reach into a running setup to improve a photograph.
Before starting, establish how the operator will follow the approved completion and removal procedure. An inspection checklist should begin only after the equipment and object are safe to access under the applicable instructions. Do not substitute a timer or the absence of visible light for that procedure.
Preserve the attended workflow
Keep the operator's attention on operation while work is active. Leave detailed photography and measurement for the separate inspection stage. If an abnormal condition occurs, follow the relevant stop and emergency guidance rather than prioritizing an evidence photo.
