A workspace review should include what the operator brings to the table. Loose sleeves, jewelry and hanging cords can interfere with handling an object or reaching a control. Address those items before beginning setup.
Prepare before approaching the equipment
Follow the equipment instructions and organize clothing and personal items so they cannot enter the work area. Put headphones, charging leads and bags in a separate location. Keep required controls accessible and review the prescribed stop procedure before the session begins.
If something falls into the work area during operation, do not reach in to retrieve it. Follow the equipment's stop and safe-access instructions first. Resume only after the situation has been resolved and the required checks are complete.
