Before a project begins, look at the operator path to the controls and make sure loose tools, packaging, and personal items are not blocking it. A clear work area supports an attended, deliberate setup for any laser engraving task.

Treat the check as part of preparation

Keep appropriate protective eyewear, shielding, ventilation, and material guidance in view of the plan. Confirm that the intended material is appropriate before operating, and do not leave an active process unattended. If something about the setup is uncertain, pause and resolve it first.
