A shared workspace needs a clear visitor boundary before an engraving demonstration begins. People arriving mid-job should know where to wait and whom to ask, without approaching the machine to get attention.
Prepare the room before the demonstration
Follow the current machine instructions and site safety procedures when deciding who may enter the operating area. Identify the supervising operator and explain the visitor rules before any activity starts. Keep the required controls and access routes unobstructed.
Arrange questions and finished-sample viewing away from the active work area. A demonstration schedule should allow time for discussion without distracting the person responsible for operation. Do not invite visitors to reposition an object or open equipment to improve a photograph.
Make interruptions predictable
Agree on how a visitor should request assistance and how the operator will respond according to the equipment instructions. If visitor access cannot be controlled, resolve that problem before proceeding with the demonstration.
