Limit the first choice set
A small variant board lets a shop show which choices are ready to discuss without presenting every possible combination as settled. Begin with a few named design directions, clear wording fields, and one visual reference for each. Keep untested ideas in a separate working list.
This distinction helps customers see what they are selecting and helps the maker avoid blending a request with an unreviewed option.
Let the board expose open questions
Add a plain note wherever the placement, surface, or artwork still needs a sample or confirmation. If a new request does not fit one of the displayed routes, make it a separate review item rather than quietly adapting a previous proof.
