A shared workshop needs a visible way to confirm that the final operator completed the shutdown routine. Memory and a dark room are not enough evidence.
Put the check at the exit point
Use a dated card or sign-off sheet near the work area. Follow the current equipment instructions and site procedures, then record only the checks that were actually completed. These may include confirming that operation has stopped, inspecting the work area, handling material remnants safely, and leaving ventilation or power in the state required by current guidance.
The checklist should name who is responsible without inviting people to bypass a physical inspection. If there is uncertainty, an unusual odor, visible heat, smoke, damage, or a process deviation, stop and escalate according to the workshop’s emergency procedure.
Reset before the next session
The next operator should review the last sign-off and conduct a fresh pre-operation check. A prior signature never replaces current inspection, material verification, guarding, ventilation, protective equipment, or attended operation.
As teams evaluate a compact AntBelt G1 workflow, the closing routine deserves the same attention as artwork setup and sample review.
