A customer proof is clearer when it asks for one decision at a time. Put the spelling, placement, and selected variation where they can be reviewed without searching through a long message. A proof is an approval tool, not evidence that a finished item has been produced.

Save the answer with the version

When a change arrives, create a new version and attach the reply to that version. This leaves a useful handoff for a later review and helps a small shop avoid guessing which detail was accepted.
