A sample rotated between photographs can be difficult to compare when its surface has a visible grain or brushed direction. Record that direction so a change in presentation is not mistaken for a change in the engraving.
Add orientation to the record
Before an approved sample test, photograph the unprocessed surface and note which edge is the reference edge. Keep any paper labels or loose markers out of the operating area. After the documented shutdown and safe handling steps, photograph the result in the same orientation.
Use the same camera position and lighting arrangement for the main comparison. If you add a rotated view, label it as a different viewing angle rather than mixing it into the primary sequence without explanation.
Describe what you can see
Separate observations about visible texture, reflected light, and artwork readability. Do not attribute a difference to a machine setting unless the record supports that explanation.
