A promising sample is hard to repeat when nobody remembers which corner of the artwork was treated as the origin. Add a simple origin mark to the setup record before testing. This is a documentation habit, not a claim that one coordinate method suits every object.
Pair the mark with the file version
Place a small arrow on a paper sketch showing the intended top and starting corner. Record the artwork filename and revision beside it. Photograph that note with the unprocessed blank so the visual record connects orientation, object, and file.
Reset the note after an edit
Rotation, resizing, or a new blank can make an old reference misleading. Create a fresh note after any change instead of crossing out several earlier decisions. Keep rejected versions clearly separated from the current one.
Before operating, confirm the current instructions for placement, focus, guarding, ventilation, protective equipment, and attended use. Run a suitable sample process because results depend on artwork, material, finish, and setup.
