Camera filenames hide the reason a photo was taken. Rename each order image for the decision it supports: received blank, artwork approval, placement check, reviewed sample, or packed order. Add the order reference and artwork revision without placing private customer details in a shared filename.
Keep states distinct
A mockup should never share the label used for a finished sample. A sample photo should identify the actual recorded piece and viewing conditions. A packed-order image documents packing state; it does not prove delivery, product performance, or repeatability on another blank.
Make the next review faster
Store the images in decision order and keep only the current approved artwork clearly marked as current. When a revision arrives, preserve the older file as superseded instead of silently replacing it. The sequence should let another team member find the active decision without reconstructing a chat history.
Clear filenames reduce handoff errors, but they do not replace material review, operating guidance, or customer approval. Unknown materials and unresolved placement stay out of production.
