Keep one starting reference
Photograph an unmarked control beside the samples you plan to review. The reference can help you discuss visible change without relying on memory or presenting a preliminary observation as a universal result.
Write down what changed
Record the surface description, lighting, and the question being explored. A control photo does not guarantee how another blank will respond. Browse /updates/ for more careful sample-documentation practices.
