An early material sample is easier to discuss when its unmarked area appears in the same record. The reference gives viewers context for visible contrast, placement, and the limits of the observation. It does not make a broad guarantee about other blanks.
Write what the comparison can answer
Add one sentence that names the sample question before sharing the image. Separate what can be seen from what still requires another test, and keep the sample note tied to the artwork version.
