An untested area gives a sample review useful context. Photograph it under the same light as the marked area, then add a short label for the sample source and the question being explored. The image becomes a comparison record rather than a broad result claim.
Record what remains unknown
Note the visible surface condition, the date, and anything that prevented a clean comparison. Do not turn one observation into a material guarantee. If a sample needs another look, mark it for review and keep the first image with the follow-up record.
Use the record to choose the next question
