Review the intended everyday view
Use a paper mockup on the intended object while it is away from the machine. Ask the recipient to hold it normally, then review the opposite hand. Identify whether the design should face the owner, a person across the table or a display shelf. Keep these as separate choices rather than calling every option the front.
Photograph the selected view with a paper arrow indicating the handle direction. Include the artwork version in the proof record so that the same inscription is not later repositioned from memory.
Keep the mockup within its role
