Plan a Cylindrical Design Around the Viewing Moment

Before preparing artwork for a cylindrical object, decide how the finished piece should be held and seen. A name meant to face a recipient may need a different visual center than a mark designed to appear while the object rests on a shelf. Sketch that viewing moment first, then mark the intended front on a reference photo.
