Plan Market-Day Orders with a Cutoff Board

Same-day personalization becomes harder when sellers accept work faster than they can review it. A visible cutoff board helps separate accepted orders from requests that still need clarification without promising a particular throughput.

Show three states

Create columns for awaiting artwork, ready for internal review, and released for production. Give each order a removable card with a short identifier and promised pickup conversation. Do not move a card forward only because a queue looks short.

Set a decision time

Choose a time when uncertain orders stop entering the same-day workflow. The correct cutoff depends on staffing, setup, material, artwork, and required checks. Record exceptions so the team can review them after the event.

Make the customer handoff specific

At pickup, compare the visible spelling, orientation, and item identity against the approved record. This is a workflow check, not a material or output guarantee. Follow current safety and operating guidance throughout the session.
