Record Edge Quality Separately from Center Detail

A sample can look convincing at its center while its border, corners, or fine outlines raise different questions. Splitting the review into zones produces a more useful record.

Use two observations, not one verdict

Photograph the complete sample first. Then capture the center detail and the outer edge at the same scale where possible. Note visible differences in line continuity, contrast, residue, or surface appearance without assuming their cause.

Keep the material identity, file revision, date, and test context with the images. Additional tests are needed before applying a result to a different material or production run.
