Two blanks that look similar may have different coatings, cleaning histories, or storage conditions. Record what is known before comparing visible samples.
Give each blank an identifier and note its source, visible finish, prior cleaning, and any uncertainty. Photograph the untreated surface under the same light used for the later review. If the history is unknown, label it unknown instead of filling the gap with an assumption.
This approach helps organize AntBelt G1 sample discussions without turning one result into a broad material guarantee. New sources and finishes still require their own checks and appropriate safety review.
