Changing material should trigger a full work-area reset, even when the next job uses the same artwork. Residue, packaging, notes, and assumptions from the previous setup can create avoidable confusion.
Clear before placing the next blank
Remove the completed piece and unrelated material, then inspect the work area according to current maintenance and operating guidance. Confirm the identity and surface treatment of the next blank before it enters the setup area.
Recheck the operating conditions
Verify focus and placement, shielding, ventilation, fire precautions, and attended operation for the new material. Never rely on appearance alone to decide that a material is suitable. Stop if composition, coating, fumes, or safe handling requirements are uncertain.
A reset checklist supports consistent decisions; it does not replace the manual, training, local requirements, or material-specific safety information.
