A process sample helps the workshop learn; an approval sample helps a buyer confirm a visible choice. Label the two types clearly so an internal experiment is not accidentally presented as the final customer reference.
For an approval sample, photograph the relevant face, include a scale reference only when it is accurate, and state what the customer is approving. For a process sample, record the setup question and any uncertainty. Keep both linked to the same order notes while preserving their different purposes.
This separation reduces ambiguous handoffs without promising repeatability or a material outcome that has not been verified. Find more order-preparation ideas at /updates/.
