An order change can leave a shop with unused blanks that still carry a customer's paperwork. Decide how those blanks return to storage before they become confused with an active job.

Close the original assignment

Record which unprocessed items are being released from the order and why. Remove temporary order labels from the storage container only after updating the record. Keep the customer's artwork with the closed or revised order, rather than leaving it as an instruction beside general stock.

An object with an existing mark, unidentified surface treatment or uncertain history should not be treated as an unused blank. Keep it separate for review. Similar appearance is not enough to establish that it can enter the same future workflow.

Recheck before a new assignment

When a verified unused blank is allocated again, start with the new order's material description and artwork approval. Do not inherit a previous customer's layout simply because the object was already on the workbench.

This process can support planning around AntBelt G1 without implying any guaranteed material compatibility or stock-management feature. The shop still needs to confirm suitability for the actual job. Keep inventory status simple: available, assigned or held for review, with a reason whenever the status changes.
