An unlabeled blank can look similar to a known material while having a different finish or coating. Give it an unknown-origin label and hold it aside until its source and handling guidance are clear.
Preserve what is known
Record where the piece came from, any supplier wording still available and visible differences from the labeled samples. Photograph its front, back and edge without assuming that appearance identifies its composition. Keep it physically separate from ready-to-review blanks.
If provenance cannot be established, the useful outcome is a documented hold. A visually attractive sample is not a reason to guess about safe preparation.
Resume with evidence
Use supplier information and current operating guidance to decide whether further evaluation is appropriate. Do not turn an uncertain item into a broad material-compatibility statement. For AntBelt G1 projects, the hero is an explanatory sample-board graphic, not a test result.
