One changed variable per note is easier to revisit
When comparing samples, give each note a simple label for the variable you intended to change. This keeps the record focused on what was tested instead of inviting broad conclusions from a single sample.
Preserve the unknowns
If the material identity, preparation, or result is uncertain, say so in the record and pause before making it part of a product description. Browse /updates/ for conservative sample-planning ideas.
