Give the series one shared starting point
Before comparing several samples, prepare a baseline card that records the question the series is meant to answer. It might identify a layout choice, a visible detail to review, or a change in artwork. The card is not a final specification and does not establish a material guarantee.
Photograph the card beside the first sample and retain it with the rest of the series. This gives later viewers context without relying on memory.
Add one observation at a time
When reviewing each sample, add one short observation in the same format. Keep differences visible and leave uncertain points plainly marked. A small, consistent record is often more valuable than a dramatic claim based on a single result.
