A detail test is easier to judge when placement has already been separated from engraving quality. A simple boundary box can make that distinction visible before the working test begins.
Check the occupied area first
Create a temporary outline around the artwork export, then compare that outline with the usable face of the blank. Confirm the intended top edge, the viewing direction, and any margin that must remain clear. Keep the boundary layer separate so it cannot be mistaken for production artwork.
This check does not predict a finished result. It gives the operator a reviewable placement reference before suitable material is tested under supervision. Save a screenshot of the approved view beside the job file so later revisions can be compared with the same frame.
