Small artwork can look centered on screen yet feel misplaced on the finished object. A removable corner key gives the operator a physical reference before a valued blank enters the work area. It is a planning aid, not a substitute for current operating instructions.
Make the reference easy to read
Cut an L-shaped guide from paper or card and label its horizontal and vertical edges. Place it beside the blank, then photograph the blank, guide, and artwork orientation note together. The guide should remain outside any active operating area.
Recheck after every artwork change
If the design is resized, rotated, or replaced, repeat the reference photo. Store it with the current artwork version so an older placement decision cannot silently follow a newer file.
Confirm the actual setup
A paper reference does not establish focus, material suitability, or a final result. Follow current guidance for guarding, ventilation, protective equipment, and attended operation. Use an appropriate test process because outcomes vary with the material, finish, artwork, and setup.
