A sample is easier to discuss when part of its original surface remains visible. When the material and current guidance allow it, reserve a small reference corner outside the planned artwork area.
Decide what the reference should show
The untouched area can help a reviewer compare color, texture, or coating appearance under the same light. Mark its location on the sample card before work begins. Do not treat it as proof of durability, composition, or suitability; it is simply a visual reference on that specific sample.
Masking products and surfaces can behave differently. Confirm compatibility and follow the material supplier’s instructions as well as current laser guidance. If the material is unknown, coated without adequate information, or unsuitable for laser processing, stop rather than improvise.
Photograph both areas together
Use one neutral, repeatable lighting setup and keep the reference corner and test area in the same frame. Record the material label, artwork revision, viewing condition, and date. Avoid editing that changes color or contrast enough to obscure the comparison.
Current AntBelt G1 samples can inform questions for further testing, but individual images should not be read as guarantees across every material or finish.
