When two samples need review, place them in the same frame under the same light and include their labels. This gives a future reviewer context for what was visible at the time the observation was made.
Describe, do not overstate
Write down visible differences such as tone, sheen, edge appearance, or texture. Camera exposure and viewing angle can change how a surface appears, so avoid treating the photograph as proof of depth, durability, or material behavior.
