A job should not change operators through a quick “continue from here.” A short, structured handoff makes the current state and unresolved questions explicit before anyone resumes work.

State whether the job is stopped

Begin with a clear stopped or active status according to current operating guidance. Identify what has and has not been completed. Never assume the next person can reconstruct the state from the screen or from the position of the object.

Point to the approved inputs

Show the artwork version, orientation record, sample note, and any relevant material identification. Say which checks were completed and which still require attention. If an unknown remains, keep the job paused until it is resolved through the proper procedure.

Transfer the workspace, not only the file

Call out changes around the work area, ventilation arrangement, access control, and protective measures required by current official guidance. A tidy file does not prove that the physical workspace is ready.

Require an active read-back

The receiving operator should repeat the next intended step and the stopping condition. Record the handoff time when the workflow calls for it. If the explanation cannot fit into a clear two-minute summary, the job likely needs a fuller review rather than a rushed transfer.

This handoff is an organizational aid, not a replacement for training, supervision, or product-specific safety instructions. See /updates/ for more AntBelt G1 workflow planning.
