When a laser workspace changes operators, the next person needs a clear account of its current state. Prepare a short handover record using the equipment's current operating instructions as the authority.
Transfer the state as well as the job name
Record which job was last handled, whether it was completed or stopped, and any unresolved issue. Identify the approved file revision and documented material only if both are known. A note saying ready should never substitute for the next operator's required checks.
Carry out handovers only in the safe state prescribed by the equipment instructions. Do not leave an active process unattended to exchange paperwork. The incoming operator should be trained for the equipment and should independently complete the required setup and safety checks before starting work.
Make uncertainty explicit
If the outgoing operator cannot explain a change or an interruption, keep the job on hold until it is resolved through the applicable procedure. Do not bypass safeguards or improvise recovery steps from a brief note.
For a shared AntBelt G1 workspace, the record is an aid to communication. It does not replace the manual, supervision, material guidance, or any required protective measures. A useful handover ends with a named responsible operator and a clearly stated next permitted step.
