A single close-up can hide where a sample sits on the blank. Photograph the full piece once, then take a second image that includes both an edge and the center of the reviewed area. Keep the camera and lighting notes with the pair.
Use the wider image to document placement and the closer image to discuss only what is visibly supported. Avoid using either photo to claim final color, permanence, consistency, or compatibility across materials. A labeled sample remains a point of observation, not a guarantee.
Store the pair under one sample ID so future comparisons retain their context. Find more review frameworks in /updates/.
