Use an Untreated Control Beside Every Finish Test

A photographed sample is hard to interpret when there is no view of the original surface. Keeping an untreated control beside it makes the visible change easier to describe.

Match the comparison conditions

Choose control and test pieces from the same known material batch when practical. Photograph them under the same light, angle, background, and camera settings. Label each piece so the untreated surface cannot be confused with an unsuccessful test.

Describe only what the comparison shows. Do not turn one visual difference into a broad durability, compatibility, or repeatability claim without separate evidence.
