Use Edge Zones to Learn From a Sample Panel

The center of a sample panel is valuable space, but the edges can carry useful setup evidence. Reserve a narrow edge zone for a sample ID, orientation arrow, date, and artwork revision before using the center for the visible comparison.

Photograph the entire panel first, then capture closer views of the areas being compared. Note lighting conditions when appearance changes with angle or reflection. Avoid turning a single panel into a broad claim about a material category.
